South West teams progress in Vase

Football

Dawlish Town and Saltash United are the only South West sides to have a guaranteed place in the draw for the second round of the FA Vase.

Western Premier side Dawlish cruised past Peninsula League Launceston 5-1 at Sandy Lane as Joe Bushin scored twice.

Saltash had a great 4-2 win at Western Premier side Sherbourne Town.

Cullompton Rangers replay Willand Rovers after a 0-0 draw in which Rangers were denied a penalty re-take when their spot kick was chalked off for encroachment.

The rest of the sides from the South West were all knocked out in the first round.

Barnstaple Town went down 2-1 to Wessex league side Hamworthy United, SWPL champions Bodmin Town lost 3-2 at Brislington, Tavistock lost 2-1 at Frome Town and Porthleven went down 2-1 at home to Larkhall Athletic.
