Linnets held again at Stalybridge

Keith Webb
Webb says his players need more quality after a sixth draw out of six

King's Lynn drew 1-1 at Stalybridge Celtic to continue their uninterrupted run of six draws in Blue Square North.

Stalybridge played for much of the game with 10 men, but the Linnets failed to take advantage, to the dismay of King's Lynn manager Keith Webb.

He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We weren't good enough to take possession of the ball and take the game to them.

"I've got to look at the squad in the cold light of day and see where I can improve it with a bit more quality."

Although Webb made probably the league's most high-profile summer signing, bringing Julian Joachim to the Walks from Darlington, the bulk of his side consists of last season's Southern League champions.

"The effort's there, the effort they put in today, running and chasing after things, but you need that little bit more at the minute.

"It's only a small percentage of improvement, but it's going to be a lot more than they're giving me at the moment," he said.
