Easter scored the only goal of the game at Treyew Road
Truro City went down 1-0 to Championship neighbours Plymouth Argyle at Treyew Road on Wednesday night.
The only goal of the game came from Argyle's Welsh international Jermaine Easter in the first half after he latched onto a ball from Rory Fallon.
It was Truro's penultimate pre-season friendly before the start of their first-ever Southern League campaign.
But they will go into the season without midfielder Kevin Wills, who has left the club.
Torbay-based Wills, who scored both of Truro's goals in their 2007 FA Vase win at Wembley, had his contract cancelled by mutual consent because of work commitments.
Wills scored 27 goals in 123 appearances for Truro after joining the club in December 2005.
Truro host Torquay United on Friday as they end their preparations.
