Weston-super-Mare right-back Michael Green has signed a new two-year contract to stay at Woodspring Stadium.

The defender believes manager Tony Ricketts and assistant Andy Gurney are taking the Blue Square South club in the right direction.

"It is a bit of security. They are looking to take the club forward and I want to be part of that," Green told the Seagulls' website.

Green started his career at Southampton and has also played for Chippenham.
