Weston-super-Mare defender Craig Rand is expected to be out of action until at least October because of injury.

Rand, a signing from Team Bath midway through the 2005/06 season, suffered an inflammation of the pubic bone in October of last year.

He played on through the first stage of the injury and this is thought to have led to further problems.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old striker Marc McGregor has committed his immediate future to the Seagulls.

McGregor, once the subject of a �35,000 move from Forest Green Rovers to Nuneaton, was one of a small number of players yet to decide their future.
