AFC Telford United have decided not to sign striker Michael Husbands for the new season in the Blue Square North.
Husbands joined the Bucks in November 2007 from League Two side Macclesfield, but struggled with a knee injury.
The club say they were waiting to inform the player, but he had been on holiday and it has emerged he has attended a trial at Cheltenham Town.
Telford assistant manager Larry Chambers told BBC Radio Shropshire: "We wish him all the best."
"It' s great chance for Michael to get back into league football.
"I think by his own admission he didn't fulfil his potential with us last year, but this is a great chance for him," Chambers added.
