Pell looks likely to join a club in the North East
Boston United look likely to miss out on the signing of Gainsborough Trinity defender Richard Pell.
The Pilgrims have already signed Wes Parker, Pell's defensive partner at Trinity, but have been unsuccessful in re-uniting the pair at York Street.
Boston boss Tommy Taylor said: "Richard was keen to join us. But it looks likely that he will get a job in the Newcastle area.
"As a result, he will sign for a club in that region."
Striker Kieran Leabon, 19, has snubbed interest from other clubs to stay at Boston for another year, as has 20-year-old full-back Tom Matthews.
But Paul Ellender and Lee Thompson, both of whom played for the Pilgrims in the Football League, appear to be on their way out after turning down contract offers.
