AFC Telford United fans have been praised for their honour in defeat, after losing to Barrow in the Blue Square North play-offs.
"They applauded us off the pitch, despite their disappointment," Barrow defender Steve McNulty told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"That was very moving, and I want to say a big "thank you" to them all."
McNulty played a part in keeping the Bucks at bay. But he said: "Telford are a big club, and they'll bounce back."
Barrow now face Stalybridge Celtic in Friday's play-off final, with the winners promoted to the Blue Square Premier.
"We're confident we can win through," said McNulty. "We always felt Telford would be the biggest hurdle.
