Barrow co-boss Dave Bayliss has expressed his pride in his side after they booked their place in the Blue Square North play-off final.

The Bluebirds will now face Stalybridge Celtic at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium after beating AFC Telford United 4-0 on aggregate.

Bayliss said he was delighted with his squad at reaching this stage.

"Every game the lads are physically shattered because of sheer hard work," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"They've played with injuries some of them, they're all heroes in my eyes."

Chairman Brian Keen was equally delighted, having handed the duo of Bayliss and Darren Sheridan the opportunity to manage the club in November.

"All I can say is fantastic, what a fantastic job. Two more honest men you couldn't wish to have," he said.

"We've come right from the bottom, but these lads have done us proud."

Meanwhile, striker Nick Rogan, Barrow's hero from the first-leg of the semi-final with Telford, has all but opted to stay at Holker Street while he continues his academic studies.

"I think it's more than likely that I'm going to stay at Barrow, I can't really leave a club like this when we've been doing so well," he said.

"I'm now thinking about doing a Masters at Liverpool next year, so everything will carry on as normal. Maybe then I'll do another degree after that."
