Paul Tong (back row, extreme right) is upset with Diss Town's board
Departing Diss Town manager Paul Tong has hit out at the club's board after losing his job as boss.
Tong claims he found out second hand that the manager's job had been offered to someone else for next season.
"You would have thought someone would have said something to me, I don't think it's the way to do business," Tong told BBC Radio Norfolk.
Former Manchester City, Gillingham and Wolves striker Robert Taylor has been appointed as the club's new manager
Former Great Yarmouth manager Tong says he tendered his resignation to the Diss board but was told they wanted him to stay on.
But he has now lost his job and leaves the Tangerines fifth in the First Division of the Ridgeons League and still in with a slim chance of promotion.
Tong's final match in charge of the Tangerines was the 2-0 win over Norfolk rivals Fakenham Town and he said he was disappointed with the way his departure had been handled.
"Diss is an excellent club but one or two of them [board members] need to look at themselves," Tong added.
"The club needs stability. I accept that results haven't been what was required but I don't think it's the way to do business and I'm disappointed at that."
