Telford boss happy with his team
Rob Smith

AFC Telford United manager Rob Smith feels the squad he has is strong enough to make the promotion frame.

"There'll be no new signings now unless we get a really horrendous injury situation," Smith told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"I've got an unbelievable set of lads, and they're a great team to work with.

"I've had two fantastic years at Telford but, with 12 games to go this season, the excitement's just beginning."

Telford go to leaders Kettering on April 5

Telford lead the play-off contenders in the Blue Square North. They are in second spot, six points behind leaders Kettering, who occupy the one automatic promotion place.

But the two teams still have to play each other at Rockingham Road on 5 April.

"To be honest, Kettering are favourites to win the league," added Smith, "but we'll chase and chase as long as we can, and you won't finding us giving up."

Luke Reynolds and Michael Husbands are fit again and available for Saturday's trip to Alfreton.
