Barrow AFC have secured the signing of experienced midfielder Mark Boyd from Eircom League side Sligo Rovers. The 26-year-old has signed an 18-month-deal which sees Chris Butler move in the opposite direction.
Co-manager Dave Bayliss had been tracking the former Carlisle United and Port Vale midfielder for some time and Boyd was swayed by the interest.
He told the club website: "Bayliss basically just kept badgering me to come, so I knew I was really wanted."
