Southport boss Paul Cook has made midfielder Mark Boyd his second new signing since taking over at the Conference club. Boyd finished last season at Accrington Stanley, where Cook was player-coach.
The 24-year-old has also had previous spells with Port Vale, Carlisle United and Gretna.
Striker Tony Gray has completed his move from Burscough but long-serving midfielder Steve Pickford has left to join Conference North side Hyde United.
