The African under-17 tournament is reaching its climax

Gambia have secured their place in the final of the African Under-17 Championship where they will play hosts Algeria.

The Baby Scorpions beat Malawi 4-0 in Algiers, after Niger had been disqualified.

Niger were thrown out of the tournament after questions were raised over the age of one of their players.

Caf says it "discovered irregularities" regarding the apparent age of Boubacar Talatou, the Niger number 11.

Malawi were drafted in as replacements and so qualify for the Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria later this year.

The second semi-final, between the hosts Algeria and Burkina Faso, saw the home side secure a 1-0 win.

The final is on 2 April, whilst Malawi and Burkina Faso will play-off for third place on 1 April.
