Niger and Burkina Faso join Algeria and Gambia in the last four

Niger and Burkina Faso are through to the semi-finals of the African Under-17 football championships in Algeria.

Niger beat Zimbabwe 1-0 to go through to the last four, while Burkina Faso defeated Malawi 2-0 to take their place in the semis.

The win also sees the two qualify for the Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria in October.

They join Algeria and the Gambia, who reached the last four on Sunday.

Zimbabwe are out, having lost both their opening games, the first a crushing 5-0 defeat by Burkina Faso.

Malawi are also out, after two losses, rendering the final Group B games on Thursday meaningless.
