Burkina Faso easily beat Zimbabwe at the African Under-17 Championship

Burkina Faso and Niger both won in Group B of the African Under-17 Championship in Algeria on Friday.

Niger beat Malawi 2-0 thanks to goals from Abdoulaye Ousmane and Issa Sidibe.

Jerome Ouiya scored a hat-track as Burkina Faso crushed Zimbabwe 5-0.

Raoul Konsiega, Sylvian Kabre grabbed the other goals for the Burkinabe.

The result will not come as much of a surprise for Zimbabwean fans as their squad in Algeria is made up of mainly high school students.

This follows checks on the ages of the players in the original squad and just five of them met the rules for the tournament.

The next Group B games are on Monday as Zimbabwe play Niger while Burkina Faso take on Malawi.
