ENGLAND

A goal from Nigeria's Seyi Olofinjana helped Stoke City beat Arsenal

Nigeria's Seyi Olofinjana chested home Stoke City's second goal as they eventually beat Arsenal 2-1.

Gabon striker Daniel Cousin scored his second goal of the season but it was not enough as Hull City lost 4-3 at Old Trafford to champions Manchester United.

South Africa's Benni McCarthy converted a penalty for Blackburn in their 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

But McCarthy was then sent off just before half-time for a second bookable offence after appearing to control the ball with his arm.

Egypt striker Amr Zaki was on target once again for Wigan - this time from the penalty spot in a 2-1 win at Portsmouth.

Zaki is still the Premier League's top scorer with 8 goals along with Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka.

Zaki's compatriot Mido came on as a second-half substitute to equalise for Middlesbrough in their 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

SPAIN

Rwandan striker Mohamed Tchite scored a hat-trick for Racing Santander as they shocked hosts Valencia 4-2 defeat.

Tchite actually holds four passports - Burundi, DR Congo, Rwanda and Belgium - but Fifa recently ruled that he is only eligible to play for Rwanda.

ITALY

Morocco's Houcine Kharja scored the only goal of the game for Siena as they beat Fiorentina.

FRANCE

Morocco's Youssouf Hadji scored the only goal of the game as Nancy walked away with all three points at the expense of visiting Bordeaux.

Another Gabon player with a goal this weekend was Eric Mouloungui as Nice squeezed passed Paris Saint-Germain 1-0.

Nigeria defender Taye Taiwo sealed victory for Marseille with a header as his side triumphed 3-1 over Saint Etienne.

NETHERLANDS

Morocco's Mounir Hamdaoui is the top scorer in the Netherlands

Morocco's Mounir Hamdaoui equalised for AZ Alkmaar just after half-time against Heerenveen to make the score 1-1 as the game eventually ended 3-3.

Alkmaar are now top of the table on goal difference - they are equal on 19 points with Ajax and NAC Breda.

Hamdaoui is now the top scorer in the league with 12 goals, overtaking Ghana's Matthew Amoah who has nine goals after failing to score in his last two games.

Another Moroccan Ali Boussaboun found the back of the net with the opening goal for Utrecht who beat Heracles Almelo 2-0.

Burundi's Saidi Ntibazonkiza scored his third of the league for NEC Nijmegen as they beat hosts Sparta Rotterdam 2-0.

GERMANY

Nigeria striker Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi scored twice for Hoffenheim as they easily beat Karlsruhe 4-1 - the result keeps his side at the top of the Bundesliga.

Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan was on target for Borussia Dortmund a minute before half-time as they drew 1-1 with VfL Bochum.

BELGIUM

Morocco's Mouhssine Iajour gave mid-table Charleroi the lead as they beat league champions Standard Liege 2-1.

Nigeria striker Joseph Akpala scored twice in the second-half for FC Bruges who dismissed Kortrijk 4-1.

Bruges are top of the table after 10 games with 23 points and Akpala is the joint top scorer with 6 goals along with Niger's Moussa Maazou and the DR Congo's Dieumerci Mbokani.

Togo striker Olufade Adekanmi is a goal behind as he scored his fifth for Gent from the penalty spot to help his side win away at Zulte-Waregem 2-0.

Zimbabwe striker Honour Gombami got his first in the league as Cercle Bruges beat hosts Mouscron 1-0.

Bertin Tomou of Cameroon scored both goals for Westerlo, who drew 2-2 at Dender.

TURKEY
Guinea striker Ibrahim Yattara scored his second goal of the season from the penalty spot for Trabzonspor who crushed Istanbul Buyuksehir 4-0. Trabzonspor now top the table by a single point after nine games.

PORTUGAL

Cameroon's Albert Meyong Ze equalised for Braga to force a 1-1 draw at Academica Coimbra.

GREECE

South Africa defender Bryce Moon was red-carded in the second-half - but his side Panathinaikos managed to score a late goal to beat Panionios 2-1 without him. Ghana's Bernard Kumordzi scored the goal for Panionios.

Algeria striker Rafik Djebbour scored a last-gasp winner for AEK Athens as they edged passed Asteras Tripolis 2-1. It was the Algerian's first goal this season.

Ivorian Serge Die scored from the penalty spot for Iraklis Saloniki as they drew 1-1 in the derby with Paok Saloniki.
