African goals in Europe: 25-26 October

There were plenty of African scorers across Europe over the past weekend, including a debut Premiership goal for a Guinean defender, a hat-trick for Cameroon's target man and plenty of action from Turkey.

ENGLAND

Guinea defender Kamil Zayatte opened his Premier League account to send Hull City joint top briefly on Saturday.

Zayatte's volley opened the scoring in Hull's 3-0 away win over West Bromich Albion, and put them level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool - before the Merseysiders went three points clear with a win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Togo's Emmanuel Adebayor sealed victory for Arsenal with a last-minute strike to give the Gunners a 2-0 win over neighbours West Ham. It was Adebayor's fourth Premiership goal of the season and helped to move Arsenal into the top four.

South African striker Benni McCarthy also scored in the last minute to rescue a point for Blackburn Rovers as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

SPAIN

Samuel Eto'o scored his first hat-trick of the season as Barcelona demolished 10-man Almeria 5-0.

All the goals were scored in the first half and the Cameroon striker completed his own hat-trick after only 24 minutes, the fastest Barcelona hat-trick in La Liga history.

The Cameroonian has now scored in three consecutive league games and is the joint top scorer in La Liga with nine goals.

Racing Santander's Rwandan striker Mohamed Tchite got his first goal of the season from the penalty spot as his side lost 2-1 loss at Numancia.

Tchite actually holds four passports Burundi, DR Congo, Rwanda and Belgium, but Fifa recently ruled that he is only eligible to play for Rwanda.

BELGIUM

Mbark Boussoufa was on target for Anderlecht as they thrashed Machelen 7-1 on Saturday.

The Moroccan striker scored Anderlecht's fourth goal as Anderlecht, who were a goal down, came back to complete their rout.

Another Moroccan Mouhssine Lajour also found the back of the net as he equalised for Charleroi who were held 1-1 by Lokeren.

Senegal's Mbaye Leye scored a goal in each half as his side Zulte-Waregem beat bottom side Roulers 3-0.

Cameroon's Bertin Tomou put Westerlo ahead as they romped to a 4-1 victory over lowly Tubize.

And Togo striker Olufade Adekenmi also scored the opener for AA Gent who enjoyed a 3-0 home win against Club Bruges.

FRANCE

One of Gabon's top strikers Eric Moulougui launched a late revival for Nice who came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Bordeaux.

In another 2-2 draw, Ivory Coast star Gervinho put Le Mans ahead in their tie at Rennes.

The game between arch-rivals Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille was a real cracker as the Parisians came from behind to beat their hosts 4-2.

Senegal striker Mamadou Niang had equalised for Marseille in the first-half but his side slumped to defeat in the second.

NETHERLANDS

The only African goal in the Eredivisie was scored by Moroccan Mounir Hamdaoui in the 75th minute for AZ Alkmaar - his second in successive weekends - as his side beat Volendam 3-0.

GREECE

Ghanaian Bernard Kumordzi scored the winner for Panionios, as they eased to a 5-2 win over Ergotelis.

Guinea striker Sembegou Bangoura was on target for Panserraikos, but his equaliser could not prevent them eventually losing 2-1 to Xanthi Skoda.

Fellow Guinean Souleymane Youla scored twice for Eskisehirspor who enjoyed a famous 4-1 win over top side Galatasaray.

Ivorian globetrotter Ibrahim Bakayoko scored one of the goals for his side Paok Saloniki who beat Levadiakos 3-1.

Dame N'doye from Senegal scored both goals for OFI Crete who came twice from behind to draw 2-2 with Asteras Tripolis.

Meanwhile, Ivorian Abdul Diallo was on the scoresheet for Panthrakikos Komotini as they beat Larisa 2-1.

TURKEY

Ivorian Serge Djiehoua opened the scoring early in the game for Antalyaspor, but the match finished 1-1 after a last minute goal by visiting side Hacettepe.
