Kebe accused Bastia fans of racism last year and in 2006

The banner was targeted at Libourne-St Seurin's Burkina Faso-born striker Boubacar Kebe, who did not travel for the fixture.

Kebe accused Bastia supporters of racism in corresponding fixtures in the past two years.

In a match between the two teams last September, Kebe was sent off for reacting to what he said was racist chanting.

Kebe says that he had also suffered abuse from the Bastia supporters the previous year.

He refused to play in Friday's match, which Corsican club Bastia won 2-1.

The game kicked off three minutes late after the referee asked for the banner to be removed.

The LFP's disciplinary committee will meet shortly to study the incident.

It comes less than a week after Valenciennes captain Abdeslam Ouaddou, from Morocco, said he was racially abused in a Ligue 1 match at Metz.

French sports minister Bernard Laporte said on Saturday that "firm measures" against racism were needed.
