Josip Kuze signed a contract with Rwanda until 2010 |
Croatian coach Josip Kuze has quit the Rwanda national football team to take over the Japanese J-League side JEF United Chiba. "I've spent two wonderful months in Rwanda but I could not reject the Japanese offer," Kuze said.
"This invitation was a big surprise for me; and my departure has been friendly," Kuze added.
Kuze signed a three-year contract with the Japanese side reportedly worth around US$400,000 dollars per season.
The 54-year-old, who replaced German Michael Nees last October, led the Amavubi in six matches in which they managed four victories, one defeat and one draw.
He is a former defender and coach of Croatia's current national champions Dinamo Zagreb.
