Raja Casablanca have won the league title for the eighth time after a dramatic last day of the season on Sunday.

Raja were helped by Kawkab Marrakech who came from two goals down in the last 20 minutes to draw with FAR Rabat and deny them a win and the title.

Marrakech equalised in the last minute of stoppage time giving the title to Raja, who had beaten relegated KAC Kenitra 4-1.

This is the second successive season that Marrakech have ultimately decided where the league title goes.

Last season they scored a late equaliser to deny Raja the title and gave a second consecutive championship to Hassania Agadir.

This time around Raja were two points behind FAR going into the final game but after Sunday's games both sides finish the league with 56 points.

Although FAR had a better goal difference, Raja win the title based on the results of the matches played between them.

Raja defeated FAR in Casablanca and the sides drew in Rabat.

Raja's Moroccan international striker Mustapha Bidoudane finished as top scorer of the season with 13 goals.

Meanwhile Renaissance Settat's 1-0 loss to Wydad Casablanca sent them the down to the second division along with Kenitra.
