Oliseh broke the nose of his team mate while at Bochum |
German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have agreed a one-year contract with former Nigeria captain Sunday Oliseh. Oliseh, whose initial contract with Dortmund was due to run until 2005, was sacked by the club after headbutting a teammate when he was loaned out to league rivals VfL Bochum.
Dortmund loaned out the 1996 Olympic Games winner to Bochum in January 2003 to reduce their wage bill.
He broke the nose of Iranian Vahid Hashemian in what he claimed was a racially fuelled fracas during a league match.
Oliseh's loan deal with Bochum was subsequently terminated by Bochum after the 1 March attack and Dortmund followed suit two weeks later.

But following a plea from Dortmund coach Bert van Marwijk, the 29-year-old has been forgiven and signed a performance-related deal.
"I asked Borussia to give me a last chance and I'm thrilled that they have accepted," said Oliseh.
The former Nigeria captain is one of Africa's most travelled footballers, having played in the Belgian, Italian, Dutch and German championships.
