2003 Champions League winners Enyimba must knock out Petro Atletico to reach the group stages |
The draw for the next phase of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup will be held in Cairo on 8 June, the Confederation of African Football said on Monday.
The eight winners of this weekend's Champions League third round ties will be divided into two groups for the league phase, which starts in July.
The eight losers will drop down into the Confederations Cup draw, joining up with eight winners from the second round ties of that competition.
The second legs of these matches are also to be played at the weekend.
The successful teams will play one more knock-out round before also being divided into two groups of four teams for a league competition.
The Confederation Cup was launched this year as an amalgamation of the old African Cup Winners' Cup and the Caf Cup.
