England

Cameroon striker Joseph Desire Job scored first for Middlesbrough
Job celebrates Carling title

It was a Cup final weekend as well as some league action.

In the Premiership, DR Congo striker Lomana LuaLua scored an 88th minute equaliser for Portsmouth to deny Newcastle a win.

LuaLua was in fact scoring against the side that loaned him to Portsmouth who have now raised their head barely above the relegation zone.

But it was Joseph Desire Job who was also in the headlines after he scored the fastest League Cup final goal.

The Cameroonian striker scored in the second minute as his side Middlesbrough went on to beat Bolton 2-1 to win the Carling Cup on Sunday.


Spain

Cameroonian Pierre Achille Webo scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute as his side Osasuna edged out Real Murcia.


Holland

Moroccan Said Boutahar scored the opening goal for Waalwijk as they beat Groningen 2-1.

Ivorian Arouna Kone opened the account for Roda JC who beat PSV Eindhoven 2-1.

Morocco midfielder Adil Ramzi scored one of the goals for FC Twente Enschede just before half-time as his side dismissed AZ Alkmaar 4-1.


France

Cameroon striker Joseph Desire Job scored first for Middlesbrough
Job celebrates Carling title
Malian striker Mamadou Bagayoko scored a 17th minute goal that turned out be the winner as his side Ajaccio beat Bordeaux 1-0.

Senegalese defender Lamine Diatta secured a 2-2 draw for his side Rennes as his injury time goal denied Le Mans all three points.


Belgium

Ivorian midfielder Abdoulaye Junior N�jire was sent-off as Beveren lost 3-1 to Club Brugge who came from behind to win the game.

But it was his Ivorian colleague Romaric Ndri who had put Beveren ahead in the 13th minute.

Nigerian Tosin Dosunmu added his name to the score sheet as his wide Westerlo hammered Lokeren 7-3.

There was a double for the Togolese international striker Adekanmi Olufade who scored twice in each half as his side Charleroi beat St Truidense 2-1.

Algerian Mamar Mamouni scored twice as he helped his side La Louviere to victory over Standard Liege.


Greece

There was a goal for Ghanaian Kofi Amponsah who scored in the last minute of the game for his side AEK Athens who beat Aris Salonika 1-0.
