Sunday Oliseh says he will be training at Dortmund next season |
Nigeria's Sunday Oliseh has declared that he will resume training at Borussia Dortmund next season. The former Super Eagles midfielder is disputing the legality of the German club's decision to terminate his contract without any compensation.
The 29-year-old had a loan deal with VfL Bochum terminated after an argument with his Iranian team-mate Vahid Hashemian, who ended up with a broken nose.
The former Nigeria captain claimed that the fracas was provoked by racist comments.
He has also alleged that Dortmund's decision to end his relationship with the club is linked to their financial problems.
"They want to save money, but I am sure I will start training with Dortmund from 1 July," Oliseh confirmed to the BBC Sport website.
"If they do not want me, they should pay up as they have to respect my contract."
Oliseh was lent to Bochum in order to offset the cost of his wages, as the 1996 Olympic gold medallist's contract was due to run until 2005.
