Sunday Oliseh says he will make a return to German football - despite being released by Bochum after punching a team mate.
Nigeria international Oliseh, 29, broke the nose of Vahid Hashemian after the 0-0 draw with Hansa Rostock on 28 February, but insists he is not a troublemaker.
"I think that I will return to the Bundesliga," he said.
"I was having my best year on the pitch and am in the form of my life."
However, Oliseh is aware that some teams may be now feel he is of violent character.
It is a perception he is working hard to counter.
"It would be wrong for people to judge me," said the 1996 Olympic Games winner.
"I was in the Bundesliga for six years and there was never any trouble."
Oliseh is under contract with Borussia Dortmund, but had been on loan at Bochum.
Bochum ended the midfielder's loan after the incident with Hashemian, and Oliseh has returned to Dortmund.
Nevertheless, Dortmund manager Mattias Sammer has made it clear Oliseh is not part of his plans.
Oliseh's contract with Dortmund runs until 2005.
Oliseh has not played for the Super Eagles since the 2002 Nations Cup finals, but Nigeria coach Christian Chukwu has said he would consider recalling the midfielder.
