Vingada does not want Hassan |
Hossam Hassan has demanded a transfer from Egyptian club Zamalek after falling out with manager Eduardo Vingada.
Hassan complained to the Zamalek president Kamal Darweish that the trainer has shown "little regard" for his talent.
Vingada, meanwhile, maintains that the 37-year-old, who is Africa's most capped international, will not get a starting place in his squad.
"I don't need him in my team. His time has come to an end," Vingada declared.
The recently appointed coach accused Hassan of not accepting decisions to substitute him during matches.
One of Egypt's best-known forwards, Hassan has been dogged by controversy throughout his career.
His decision to join Zamalek from arch-rivals Al Ahly in 2000 caused shockwaves in the domestic league.
Known for his volatile temperament, Hassan has been involved in several disputes with previous managers of Ahly and the Egyptian national team.
In 2002, the Hassan brothers were suspended for indiscipline by the previous Zamalek coach Carlos Roberto Cabral.
