Should north Africa unite behind one bid?
Got an opinion? Express it here. Each week we throw a different subject to let followers of African football have their say. Some of your views will be read on Fast Track - the BBC's African sports programme.

This week we want to know what you think of a single 2010 World Cup bid from North African countries.

Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya have all entered the race to host the 2010 finals. But the Arab Football Union has apparently called for the four nations to present a single candidate. Is this a good idea? And which of these countries would be your ideal World Cup host?

No matter how controversial your views may be, use the form on the right to have your say.

The idea that North African countries can unite to host the World Cup will remain a dream. Their selfish interests keep them apart and I cannot see them changing just because it is the World Cup.
Nyiwu Linus, Cameroonian in Egypt

The essential point right now is that North Africans should put aside personal ambitions and unite in the interest of the Arab nation as a whole.
Kenneth Atabong, USA

My opinion is that we don't have to split Africa into groups, rather we have to think of our continent as one family and select the best representative. We are all Africans. I really wish Egypt could host it and I also support South Africa.
Kareem, Egypt

I think a single bid will be better for them. A country like Egypt should be allowed to front on their behalf.
Simon Ossy Nkemakolam, Senegal

Morocco is by far the most qualified country in North Africa to host the World Cup, as only a few countries on the African continent enjoy the security and stability Morocco has.
Mehdi Youssefi, Rochester, New York

The North Africans may try to unite behind one candidate but frankly, I don't think they can do it.
Titus, New Jersey, USA

I think they should unite behind one bid because North Africa is the only region in Africa that can host a succesful World Cup.
Uche Okafor, Nigerian in Texas, USA

If the North Africans are to beat South Africa, then they certainly have to rally behind one nation.
Captain Rodrick Tavaziva, Zimbabwe

Uniting behind one country is a good idea. Best choices are Egypt and Morocco.
Ihab Sayed, Egypt

If Fifa has decreed that the 2010 World Cup will be held in Africa, then any country in Africa is free to bid. May the best bid win.
David Madzivanyika, Zimbabwe
