Wolf seeks a chance elsewhere |
Gabon coach Michel de Wolf will not renew his contract when it expires in July.
Wolf told BBC Sport in Casablanca he would return to his home country of Belgium and seek a job there.
Gabon have no chance of qualifying for the 2004 Nations Cup in Tunisia, after a 2-0 loss to Morocco on Friday.
"I know that the Gabonese FA will want me to stay but I don't think I will.
"My last match in charge of Gabon will be against Sierra Leone on 6 July, as my contract expires on the 15th," said Wolf.
The Belgian coach admitted that his failure to lead Gabon to Tunisia is a big disappointment.
De Wolf had resigned after losing his first match in charge to Sierra Leone but was persuaded by the Gabonese sport ministry and the federation to reverse his decision.
The coach has won only one match since he took charge of the team.
