Injured Ramzy will France friendly watch from the stands |
Egyptian defender, Hany Ramzy has been assured of a place in the national team, Pharaohs, despie his knee injury.
The experienced Kaiserslautern defender has been recalled by coach Mohsen Saleh to travel to Paris to watch the France game on Wednesday but he will not be part of the squad.
The invitation was a move by the coach to reconcile with the 34-year-old, who was dropped for an African Nations Cup clash against Mauritius in March.
Ramzy had threatened to quit the Pharaohs if Saleh had completely kept him out of the France friendly.
Ramzy was injured after a clash with Hansa Rostock's Togolese striker Bachirou Salou in a Bundesliga game.
The injury will keep him out of action until the end of this season.
Saleh's controversially exclusion of the player was the first time Ramzy was ever dropped from the national team since he started his international career in 1988.
