Deliberations on the organisation of the 2002 World Cup finals in Korea/Japan began on Saturday in Cairo.
Hosted at the Caf headquarters, the symposium is scheduled to last for two days.
It will examine the latest coaching methods applied at the tournament, as well as its overall successes and shortcomings.
It will also look at the future of football in Africa, with emphasis on the continent's performance at the tournament.
Brazil's World Cup winning coach, Luis Felipe Scolari, is one of the main speakers.
Cameroon's German manager Winfried Schafer and Joseph Venglos, former manager of Czechoslovakia, will also be delivering papers.
Over 50 African national managers are attending this event.
"It is a great opportunity to meet my fellow African brothers over here," said Liberia coach Kadalah Kromah.
Egypt manager Mohsen Saleh sees the forum as a great chance for his African colleagues to enrich their coaching knowledge.
"There is great benefit in gathering all these football specialists in one place.
This will definitely allow us to go forward as we share our thoughts," Saleh said.
