Africa Sports close gap
Ivory Coast

Africa Sports Nationale moved to second position in group B of the league, after struggling to beat Daloa 1-0 on Thursday.

Africa are now two points behind Stella, who crushed Daoukro 6-0 on Wednesday. Taofeek Oyassipe scored Africa's only goal in the 58th minute, after a defensive error.

In an outstanding fourth round group A game, Satellite FC defeated Rio Anyama 2-0 and SO Armee drew 1-1 with Man FC.

Egypt

Zamalek defeated Al Mansoura 1-0.

Former youth international Gamal Hamza scored the winning goal in the 76th minute, finishing off an easy rebound in an encounter which failed to live up to its billing.

Ahly also beat Al Masry 2-0 on Friday, giving them an eight point gap over Zamalek.

Nigeria

Police fired teargas in an abandoned league game between Lobi Stars and home side Kano Pillars on Wednesday to disperse a rioting crowd.

Fans threw missiles onto the pitch after Lobi Stars scored a goal in the 70th minute.

The NFA are deciding what action to take, but Pillars could be banned from their home ground in Kano for providing inadequate security.

Defending champions Enyimba beat Kwara United 1-0 to open a three-point gap at the top of the table. Their closest pursuers, Bendel Insurance of Benin, lost 1-0 to Iwuanyanwu Nationale, but stay second in the table.

Rashidi Yekini failed to score for a change but Julius Berger drew 1-1 with Plateau United.

South Africa

Moroka Swallows have taken a point lead in the league after drawing 1-1 with Ajax Cape Town.

Sbongakonke Ndlovu got the equalising goal to cancel Nathan Paulse's opener for the home side.

The mid-table battle between Sundowns and Jomo Cosmos in Pretoria also ended 1-1.

Jomo Cosmos midfielder Innocent Ntsume earned his side the points with a last minute goal, after Craig Bianchi put Sundowns ahead with an early header.
