Ajax Amsterdam coach Ronald Koeman has consigned Egyptian striker Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam to the club's youth team. In a statement by the club, 'disciplinary reasons' were cited as the reason for Koeman's decision.
Mido has had several public arguments with the Ajax manager.
The Cairo-born striker, who turns 20 next week, has scored 18 goals in 36 matches this season.
But he missed Tuesday's Uefa Champions League 1-1 draw with Arsenal through injury.
Mido, regarded by many as Egypt's brightest talent, has scored 10 goals in 23 appearances for his country.
