Cameroon name new faces
The Indomitable Lions are the reigning African champions
Cameroon have named five uncapped players
Cameroon coach Winfried Schafer has named five uncapped players in his 20 man squad for the Indomitable Lions' 11 February friendly against Ivory Coast.

Cameroon play the Ivorians in the French town of Chateauroux, and Schafer is determined to try out some new faces in the unusual surroundings.

Schafer has called up uncapped professionals Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe from Auxerre, Mohammadou Idrissou from German club Hannover, and Achille Emana of Toulouse, a 20-year-old attacking player born in France.

He has also brought in two local players, Marc Gouiffe Goufan and Jean-Paul Boya, who play for Sahel Maroua, a second division club.

Gouiffe Goufan was on trial this month at both VfB Stuttgart and VfL Wolfsburg in Germany.

Other inexperienced internationals include Basle star Thimothee Atouba, and Germany-based attacker Cyrille Florent Bella.

The match will be the Indomitable Lions' first international since they lost 2-0 to Germany in the World Cup.

The African champions will have a training camp from 9-12 February in Chateauroux.

The camp - along with the Ivory Coast friendly - will give Schaefer a chance to assess a new squad that does not include stalwarts Raymond Kalla and Lauren, who have both retired from international football.

Another notable absentee from the squad is Patrick Mboma, who has admitted he has considered retiring from the international game.

Squad:
Goalkeepers: Boukar Alioum (Istanbulspor, Turkey), Idriss Carlos Kameni (Le Havre, France).
Defenders: Geremi Fotso Njitap (Middlesbrough, England), Marc Gouiffe Goufan (Sahel Maroua, Cameroon), Lucien Mettomo (Manchester City, England), Pierre Njanka (Sedan, France), Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe (Auxerre, France), Rigobert Song (Lens, France), Bill Tchato (Kaiserlautern, Germany), Pierre Wome (Fulham, England).
Midfielders: Thimothee Atouba (Basle, Switzerland), Jean-Paul Boya (Sahel Maroua, Cameroon), Eric Djemba Djemba (Nantes, France), Marc-Vivien Foe (Manchester City, England), Salomon Olembe (Marseille, France).
Strikers: Cyrille Florent Bella (LR Ahlen, Germany), Achille Emana (Toulouse), Samuel Eto'o (Real Mallorca, Spain), Mohammadou Idrissou (Hannover, Germany), Joseph-Desire Job (Middlesbrough, England).
