Tunisia hold France
Slim Ben Achour
Ben Achour was in inspired form
France failed to get back on track under new coach Jacques Santini and were held to a draw by Tunisia in Rades.

The match started with both sides looking competative, and after 18 minutes France had scored.

A corner from Zidane found Mickael Silvestre, who beat the Tunisian defense and their goalkeeper at the near post to give France the lead.

But striker Ali Zitouni equalised for Tunisia, heading home a cross from Mourad Melki in the 38th minute.

The Carthage Eagles then went on to dominate the second half, led by the outstanding performance of PSG's Slim Ben Achour.

They launched a series of attacks from the right side where Trabelsi, Ben Achour and Zitouni combined well together.

However they were ineffective and wasteful in front of goal.

They were encouraged by an enthusiastic audience who kept calling for a winner.

And five minutes before the end they nearly got it, Thabet setting Mhadhebi up from the right side, but he shot directly at the near post.
