Division Three: Jersey Wanderers 2-1 Sporting Academics
Jersey Wanderers have taken an early lead at the top of the Jersey Football Combination Division Three after a hard fought win over Sporting Academics.
Tony Salaun and Scott Young were the scorers for Wanderers, who have now won both of their opening two games.
Ged Horgan got the goal for Sporting Academics, who now sit bottom of the table after failing to pick up any league points so far.
Academics are back in action on Saturday against St Ouen.
Wanderers do not play again until 25 September when they travel to Jersey Wanderers.
