Roger Burden welcomes Jack Warner's 2018 bid comments
Jack Warner believes England still have a chance to host the World Cup in 2018
Joint-acting Football Association chairman Roger Burden has welcomed Jack Warner's view England can still host the 2018 World Cup.
The Fifa vice-president has stated that controversy surrounding Lord Triesman is now in the past.
Burden told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "I was really pleased to hear Mr Warner say that.
"Fifa are content now to put the Lord Triesman affair behind them, our bid is a strong one - we're very optimistic."
Burden, who is also chairman of the Gloucestershire FA, has shown his support to England coach Fabio Capello, who confronted photographers who were taking pictures inside the dressing rooms of England's training base in South Africa.
"I've seen it on the television and I thought he just came out and was very firm with the photographers.
"He didn't understand why they were trying to take photographs of the dressing rooms.
"The photographers are allowed there obviously to take pictures of the players training and I think Mr Capello did absolutely the right thing."
