St Paul's still waiting for title after another draw
St Paul's spurned their second chance in five days of clinching a hat-trick of Premiership titles after a nervy 1-1 home draw with St Ouen.
The visitors took the lead on 35 minutes through Neil Langdon's close-range header.
Mark Lucas equalised 16 minutes from time but the hosts could not find a winner despite plenty of possession.
St Paul's still need a point from their final game against Grouville, who could still force a play-off with four wins.
It was a frustrating afternoon for St Paul's, who just five days ago needed three points from three matches to clinch their hat-trick. But they let a two-goal lead slip against Jersey Scottish earlier in the week, and now have to either rely on getting a draw on 27 March or hope that Grouville drop points at some stage during their last four games.
We've got big players not playing well
St Paul's boss Craig Culkin
St Paul's manager Craig Culkin accepted that, once again, his side had not done themselves justice.
"I'm disappointed again with the performance," he told BBC Jersey.
"Teams are working very hard against us. We've got big players not playing well - and you need to take your chances."
Culkin was also unhappy that no assistant referees were allocated for the game.
"I find it amazing that just one official was sent up here for a big game," he said.
But St Ouen boss Peter Flambard was very proud of his side's achievement. "We've been playing well and on a good run, unbeaten in six, but this is definitely a bonus for us."
"We rode our luck at times, but it's a tremendous point."
