Jersey's youth team game against Caen is called off

Football

Jersey Football Association's youth team match against French professional side Caen at Springfield has been postponed due to bad weather.

Jersey FA chief executive Paul Creedon said that the decision was made due to poor road conditions in France.

"Conditions in France are much worse than here," he said. "The safety of he players is most important. We hope to play the match early in the new year."

The weather has caused havoc for sporting fixtures this weekend.
