Just two Kent clubs remain in the FA Trophy after first round defeats for Ebbsfleet and Welling.
Ebbsfleet, 2008 winners, were beaten 2-0 by Stevenage, who knocked them out in the semi-final last season.
Manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "We had a decent start but didn't defend very well for the first goal."
Dover won 3-2 at Havant & Waterlooville, and Maidstone's game against Blue Square Premier side Histon was postponed at 1300 GMT.
It means just Dover and Maidstone will represent the county in Monday's draw for the second round.
Ebbsfleet's chances were not helped by an injury to midfielder Alex Stavrinou in training on Thursday and another to his replacement Michael West in the warm-up.
Daish said: "Sometimes it's just not to be. We get Stefan Bailey back (from illness) and then lose Westy. It's just not our day.
"It's not a silver lining to have to concentrate on the league. We have got some big games coming up and I am confident we can secure safety but we have to learn from games like today and Oxford [a 4-2 defeat] and can't afford a run like we had earlier in the season."
Dover are through to the second round after coming from behind in an entertaining game at fellow Blue Square South side Havant.
Havant led after 23 minutes, only for Nicky Southall to put Dover level within a minute of the kick-off. Jon Wallis put Dover ahead before Havant levelled 10 minutes into the second half, but Shaun Welford won the game for Dover on the hour mark.
Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler said: "We've got several out at the moment but the boys were terrific, it was a very good performance."
Dartford extended their lead at the top of the Ryman League to 11 points with a 2-1 win over Waltham Abbey. Danny Dafter, who was later sent off, and Rob Haworth scored the goals.
Josh Vincent's stoppage-time winner gave Folkestone the 1-0 win over Walton & Hersham to cement their place at the top of Ryman South.
The day was made even better for Folkestone as second-placed Worthing and third placed Godalming lost.
Manager Neil Cugley said: "I'm pleased to get so late a goal. It was tremendous.
"I don't know how many goals we have scored in the last few minutes it feels like that's four or five games we have won late in the game."
