Guernsey beat Northampton Town County League 2-0 in the first round of the FA National League Systems Cup at the Cogenhoe United ground on Saturday.
The win saw the Senior County League Division One representative side move into the last 16 of the competition.
Manager Tony Vance said: "One of the big problems we've got is that we don't know anything about the opposition.
"It's certainly a competition we should do well in. We've got to the semi finals in the past."
Vance added: "I've give the challenge to the guys that it's something I feel we should be winning."
