St Paul's won the annual clash between the islands' top league winners
Jersey league champions St Paul's have won the Upton Park Trophy beating their Guernsey counterparts Northerners 2-1 at Springfield Stadium on Saturday.
North striker Simon Tostevin headed in the opener from close range early on.
A controversial equaliser from Craig Leitch levelled the match - it looked like there had been a foul just seconds earlier but the referee waved play on.
Man-of-the-match Craig Russell got the winner with 10 minutes to go with a header following a goalmouth scramble.
St Paul's manager Craig Culkin told the BBC: "After a drunken night on Tuesday celebrating the league title, I was adamant we had to do well today.
"I think we let ourselves down in last year's Upton, and the boys responded today."
A disappointed North manager Mick Le Prevost said his team tired in the latter stages of the match: "We got tired in the last 10 minutes.
"Our last competitive game was 10 March, and that's too much of a gap."
