Truro City are two victories away from the Southern League Division One South & West title and promotion after Tuesday's 5-0 win at Thatcham Town.

City's third away win in succession was enough to see them go 10 points top.

Scott Walker opened the scoring in the first half and netted again after the break, before Stewart Yetton scored twice and Andy Watkins sealed the rout.

If City reach the Southern League Premier Division it would be their fourth successive promotion.

Truro vice chairman Chris Webb said: "The morale is fantastic, we've also found out that our closest rivals Windsor and Eton lost 2-0 at Abingdon United, so it puts us in the driving seat to win the league."
