Premiership's top four all win

Football

The Premier League title is still very much up for grabs as the top four all won on Saturday.

Leaders Peel thrashed Colby 6-1 at Douglas Road to retain their three point cushion at the top.

Johnny Myers (2) Neil Birchenough, Juan Killip, Marc Kelly and Daniel Bell scored the Peel goals, Craig Gelling netting for Colby in the first-half.

Douglas High School Old Boys and St Mary's both kept up the pace with wins against teams nearer the bottom.

DHOB enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Michael United at Balleira Road to stay second, while St Mary's sealed a 2-0 home victory over struggling Ayre United to retain third spot.

St George's were given a scare by Corinthians at Glencrutchery Road but did enough to hold on to fourth place with a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

Elsewhere, Gymns eased any relegation worries with a 2-1 victory over Railway Cup holders Rushen and Laxey continued their return to form by beating Union Mills 6-1 at Glen Road.
