Belgrave Wanderers outfit, Amalgamated FC, beat the Guernsey College of Further Education 4-3 in the opening match of the 2008/09 Guernsey FA Cup.
Sunday's win earns them a second round tie against Office Maker next month.
This year's FA Cup has kicked off with fewer teams than normal following reforms to the island's league system.
Teams from the Sunday and Business Leagues are excluded from the event after refusing to affiliate with the GFA at the start of the season.
