Secretary of Guernsey league leaders North, Steve Park, is worried the new island side aiming to play in the UK will take his club's best young talent.

The new club will enter the Kent Premier League next season and Park is eager to know where they intend to source their players from.

"It will, by definition, have to take either players from other clubs or players new to the island," he said.

He told BBC Guernsey he is worried they will poach the island's top talent.

"I feel a degree of antipathy towards essentially poaching some of our players and of course an antipathy to them poaching from other clubs," he said.

The other football clubs in the island who currently play in the Guernsey Senior County League say that the new team will take their best players and see the standard of football in the island drop.
