Greens go top after postponements

Football

Trinity moved two points clear at the top of Jersey's Premiership after beating St Peter 3-2 in the only game to survive Saturday's bad weather.

Two goals from Barry Beatson and one for Ray Grant sealed Trinity's win, with island players Jack Cannon and Marco Viera replying for St Peter.

The three other games scheduled for Saturday were all called off.

The biggest casualty was the clash of the top two at Clos des Pauvres where St Paul's were due to play Scottish.

Sporting Academics' match with Jersey Wanderers and St Ouen's visit to Grouville were also postponed by the rain.

No re-arranged date has yet been set for the fixtures.
