Tower get first win of the season

First Tower United got their first win since relegation to Jersey football's second tier after a 5-0 at home to St John on Saturday.

Gavin Toudic hit a hat-trick for Tower as they moved up a place to seventh in the Championship table.

Portuguese Club still lead the way by five points after a 2-0 win over St Brelade.

Richard Russell and Manny Fernandes got the goals which maintain Portuguese's perfect start to the season.

St Clement stay second after thrashing Beeches 8-1 at home. Richard Rawlings hit a hat-trick and Matt Scriven got two for the eastern parish side.

Magpies are a point behind St Clement, and two clear of fourth-placed Beeches after beating Jersey Nomads 4-0 at the Airport.

Steve Cumming, Darren Quintal, Matt Pamplin and Rob Baker were all on target for the 'Pies.

And St Lawrence won the battle of the bottom two 4-3 against St Martin Sporting Club Francais.

Nathan Strzelecki got a hat-trick for St Lawrence as they moved up a place to third from bottom on four points, one ahead of St John.

St Martin are still without a single point so far this season.
