Truro City came through what was seen as one of their toughest tests of the season so far as they beat Yate Town 3-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Yate, who play in the division above newly-promoted City in the Southern League, never threatened City.

Former Exeter City midfielder Andy Taylor and Scott Walker gave City a 2-0 lead at Treyew Road.

Yate got a goal back when Matt Beadle scored before Andy Watkins sealed the win in stoppage time.
