Beard and his team-mates lost in the first round of the team event

Redruth's Mick Beard and his Great Britain were knocked out of the team archery in the first round by Thailand.

The GB team of Beard, Paul Browne and Michael Karaphillides lost 185-158 to the Thai side.

The British team were always behind their opponents and only outscored them in one of the eight ends played.

The Thai team lost to Italy but four points in their next match in the quarter-finals and the Italians went on to win the bronze medal.
